Congratulations to the State Championship football team for their 17 - 14 win Friday night over Bettendorf! Congratulations to first team all state members Trevor Hanson, Austin Stephens, Trey Lewis and Sam Raridon and second team all state members Brandon Ellingson and Nolan Lodden.

Tickets for the championship football game between Valley and Bettendorf on Friday night will be sold in the Athletic Office during the times listed below. All tickets are $8.00 and also can be purchased at the UNI Dome before the game.
Wednesday, November 16th Noon - 6 pm
Thursday, November 17th 8 am - 4 pm; 6 pm -7 pm at the boys basketball scrimmage
Friday, November 18th 7 am - Noon
Reminder: Parking at the UNI Dome is $5.00

Congratulations to the football team for defeating Ankeny Friday night 14 - 3 and advancing to the championship game for class 4A football. The Tigers will play Bettendorf Friday night in Cedar Falls at the UNI Dome. Good luck Tigers!

Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving team for capturing second place at the state meet! Great season!
Congratulations to the Valley Competition Cheerleading Squad who won their 5th consecutive State Cheerleading Championship on Saturday in the 4A Large Division. Congratulations to the football team for defeating Dowling in the quarterfinals and advancing to the dome to take on Ankeny in the semi-final game of the state football playoffs! Tickets for Friday's football game vs. Ankeny at the UNI Dome will go on sale in the Athletic Office at Valley High School starting Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Tickets can be purchased during the following hours:

If you are not able to purchase tickets at these times or if the office sells out of tickets, they will be available at the UNI Dome.

The Valley Tigers are having a great fall season! The following is an update on the fall sports seasons are progressing:
Boys Golf - Congratulations on the first place finish at the State Meet! Top golfers for Valley included the following: Jeff Swegle (finishing first), Tomas Gouveia (finishing second), Isaac Vandersee, Sam Elliott, Broc Everett and Cole Wycoff.
Girls Cross Country - The girls team finished in fourth place at the State Championship Meet. Congratulations on an outstanding season!
Boys Cross County - The boys cross country team finished 7th at state meet led by Junior Ben Anderson who placed first and broke the state record. Congratulations!!
Football - The football team is currently undefeated and ranked first in the state. The team advanced through the first three rounds of regional playoff competition and will take on Ankeny Friday, November 11 in Cedar Falls at the UNI Dome.
Girls Swimming and Diving - The girls are having an outstanding season. The girls placed first in regional competition and will compete in the State Meet next weekend.
Volleyball - Congratulations to the Valley volleyball team for their first round win over Des Moines North Monday, October 24. The Tigers were defeated by SE Polk during the second round of regional play. Great job this season!
